My portable phones are 20 years old and finally started dying. I noticed when the main phone was fully charged the others would work but the main phone wasn't holding a charge. I bought the battery and the phones work like new. Yes, I have a cell phone but the old phones are easier to prop on your shoulder while you work around the house.

Same exact brand and model number but is shorter so I sliced cardboard to make them fit. Will not hold a charge.

I was surprised that these actually have a Panasonic label when I expected a generic one. But I remain skeptical about that still!They have the right power contacts for my phone but they are about 3/16" (on their longest dimension) too short for my specific phone (Panasonic TGA551M) .No problem for me though, I just took a wooden-paint-stir-stick and cut off about 1/4" from the end of the stick. I then trimmed the edges so that this newly crafted wooden spacer would be slightly less wide than the battery to allow for the battery cover to fit properly.Then after inserting the battery at the contacts first, I then inserted the wooden piece I cut at the other end of the battery and pressed both into the top of the space for the battery (see pencil tip in photo).Replace battery cover and you are good for another 4 years (if real Panasonic batteries that is)!
