I purchase several things on Amazon and was giving pretty in-depth reviews. From this point on, here's the new agenda…. if it works as advertised, is well made, meets or exceeds the description, is a value, and arrives in a fair amount of time, it will get a "star rating" equal to what my expectations were/are. If it doesn't meet these criteria, then I will most definitely and descriptively tell the short comings of the products and you as a consumer will not have to go through the trouble of buying the product without some background knowledge. If the sell pulls that item and relists under another description, I will put the exact same review on the seller's feedback page. Sellers have done this a couple of times in the past, and I was true to my word then as well as now. DR

I like how they are brightly colored so you can see them easy. I like how they came in a little case and they made making my stair stringers a breeze.

Very easy to use. Not only for making stairs but anywhere you use a ruler. The slot is large enough for my ruler and T Square. Is hold on tight. It does leave a mark on aluminum rulers when over tightened.

I do various home projects at our house as well as for other family members so when I saw this, I thought they would be worth a try. Overall, I would say that these are a pretty good addition to your carpenter or home handyman's toolbox. I don't build a lot of stairs, but I can see how these would work nice for keeping the measurements the same. For myself, I see lots of project related uses for these guides especially when I want to make sure that the angle stays the same during construction or for multiple items that I want to stay exactly the same. I also like the idea that you can use it on your saw as a guide, this won't work for every cut but definitely will help for the ones it does work with. In general, I would say that at this price point you really can't go wrong with grabbing a set of these and adding them to your toolbox.
