I was confused by the orientation in the picutre, but they can be used with the handles flipped 180 degrees along the shaft axis so they can be used on my left handed flushing toilet (as most are).. It doesn't quite work for my case out of the box as the handle doesn't seem to really move enough to pull the flapper connected to the chain a great enough distance. So I bent it down more, and now there's a bigger swing, which has been working OK, but it does feel a bit janky. Nice that it came with 2 so that if I mess up 1, I still have a fresh one.
