These replace the traditional mouthpiece caps. They fit on my hard rubber tenor and alto mouthpieces. They are the same as the caps Syos sells.

I know we like to say "You get what you pay for," but once in awhile someone has a great idea and it's just simple. This is close to a great idea, but it falls apart when the cap falls off the mouthpiece. Which is often. I've tried this on different alto, tenor, and bari sax mouthpieces. Too easy to bump it off, and sometimes it just works its own way off with gravity. Maybe if it were a bit longer? Because it is not dependable, I went and blew the money on the correct cap for each mp. I want my reeds truly protected, especially after I spend so much time shaving them to give the best tone.

I like that these rubber caps fit over most of the front of the mouthpiece. They provide great protection.

i found these especially helpful on Theo Wanne mouthpieces with built in ligatures. Solves the problem especially when i need to leave the reed on.
