Exactly what I was looking for, and really full-featured. Only feedback is that I wish the outdoor unit were more completely weatherproofed. The instructions make it clear how to properly install it outdoors, with the cleverly-designed case acting like a built-in “roof”. But it would be better if the housing were actually sealed so it could be installed directly in the sprinkler valve box — something the instructions tell you not to do. Not sure if the circuit board is conformally-coated to protect against corrosion, but if not, that would be a good improvement as well.

I ordered this product to expand my system from my limited four zone system. This should allow me to add several extra zone valves without having to replace my controller and retrench additional larger conductor wire. I will use this to expand my system as soon as we get a little warmer since the ground is still frozen from winter here in Minnesota. From what I have read in the manual this will be easy to setup and will do exactly as I need. It looks to be very good quality and has built in protection from the elements if You follow the directions. It states to mount with wires down towards the ground and to have the module above ground so you do not submerge it. Evidently water has its way following wire into modules and then destroys them with the minerals and corrosion. This should not be a problem for my system. So far I am very happy with this item and would order it again plus I would recommend it to others. I did set it up on my bench and it seems to do exactly as it describes which is what I need. Can't wait until the ground warms up so I can install this neat product. I was disappointed there are no instructions or notes on where to download the manual for this item. I did find information on the website so all is good.

I have yet to install this but I bench tested it to validate it works as stated. It does what it says. I will be using this to simplify the wiring needed to install irrigation in our raised bed garden next year. This is a great solution for repairing a broken system. It is also a great way to reduce the amount of wiring needed in a new system - especially in a large yard or in a garden which is remote from the zone controller.

This thing is AWESOME!!! It only takes 2 wires to control 4 sprinkler valves! Worked perfectly the first time I installed it. I did my landscaping 25 years ago and with only 5 wires going out to my sprinkler valve bank I ran out of control wires, even with using one wire to control 2 valves. This was the perfect solution for me. I LOVE THIS THING!! Saved me so much work, didn't have to trench out to my valve bank to add more wire or try to add another controller that was closer to my valves.OK... 2 very minor issues, no installation instructions included in the box and the lower mounting screw blocks the separation of the enclosure so the unit has to be completely wired and reassembled before installing the lower mounting screw. The instructions were readily available on the Pluvion website.I also search the internet for a similar product and didn't find anything close for residential applications.Be careful about other similar "valve doublers" for multiple valves. This product allows you have fully independent control of 4 valves, while others make you go through the sequence every watering session. So if you want to control valve 3 only you have to briefly turn on valve 1, then valve 2 before turning on valve 3 for your watering time and then briefly turning on valve 4.At $74.50 this is a great deal, well worth the price.
