From the outside, the item looks fine. Exterior finish is ok, and the head sits just fine when closed. However the interior parts slide down while it's closed, making it difficult to open all the way. Once you do open it, some interior surfaces are missing material in a very visible way. Same problem occurs in the hardware holding the pieces of the shaft together, where the outside looks good, but the faces that are hidden by the wood have such a rough finish that it looks homemade.Overall, it's good for a costume party, but might not hold up to more than one night of gentle use.

This is a present, so I fully assembled and tested it before wrapping it and the chain was caught in the mechanism. It was easy to fix however and is a beautiful cane.

This is a very strudy and handsome cane with its chromed and black. the telescope is barely 2X power and will not focus precisely. As a result, distant objects are larger when you look through it than they are to the naked eye, but I can't read anything better at a distance because the image is so fuzzy.

Novelty use only.Cane is hard wood and sturdy. Breaks down into 3 sections, connects via large embedded screws.The spyglass is neat but does not magnify. There is a bolt on side when tightened holds the spyglass in place while walking.The chain is connected to this bolt to prevent loss. ( My chain, upon arrival, was broken but is an easy fix)I recommend for novelty/cosplay but not for one who actually needs physical use of a cane.

Was more than I expected for the price. Cane is high quality, made of hard wood with a great finish and the telescope on the top of the cane is super cool, sturdy and well engineered. Was definitely worth the money.
