So, I ordered a set of these in June 2024. Today, July 28, 2024, we noticed a large crack in one and a large hole in another. When I bought these three steps, only two of my old Jacuzzi steps had to be replaced so I left one of the original steps on. That step is still doing fine while my new "Hydrotools" steps have failed after three years. Oh yeah, that third Jacuzzi step was installed in 1987. China doesn't have to defeat the West in a war. They just have to keep feeding us these garbage products and our society will collapse.

Twenty year old ones broke when stepped on. Used bolts from old ones with these. Feels great. Can put all the weight on them!

I searched for a long time to find ladder treads that are made for 1.7 inch diameter poles and 16 inches pole to pole. I guess they just don’t make them. In desperation, I bought these inexpensive, standard treads. As expected, they didn’t fit well, but surprisingly they worked well enough for me to have a ladder in the pool again. It looks fine unless you look closely, and it’s not as solid as you’d like, but if you’re stuck with a 22-year-old ladder and can’t find the correct size treads, try these.

Installing the steps was straight forward. The only issue was a seized bolt that wouldn’t give up. I needed to cut it off. The steps arrived fairly intact. One step had a molded brace that was damaged from the factory. The broken bits were floating around and there was no damage to the box. It would have little effect on the structure, so I used it. I have two sets of ladders and in a perfect world it will take 30 minutes per ladder. There’s no need to buy complete ladder as this is a simple alternative. All in all a great project for a sunny afternoon.

I simply love these steps! They replaced the original "Swan" brand that were installed back in 1994. These are much wider and the sturdiness is better because they are thicker. They did not come with any screws or washers. I took the ones that I already had to my local Home Depot and did a manual fitting. Since a couple of the SWAN steps were broken, I only needed one set. The it was definitely A LOT cheaper. The ones I purchased were:3/8-16"X2-1/2"CARRIAGE BOLT ZP(ASB) (2@0.57 = $1.14)AL 3/8HEXNUTGAL HEX NUT GALV 3/8 (2@0.27=$0.54).I truly hope you can understand the sizes. As you can see, they were a success. Also, the prices I paid for the nuts/bolts/screws truly saved me a lot! I highly recommend these steps.

Perfect fit for our older ladder. We had a tough time removing the old steps because the was limited space to remove the nut from the bolt. The new steps hat plenty of room for the wrench to fit. Making it easier to install them.The steps seem sturdier than the ones we replaced. And they are wider, which makes it easier to climb out.
