This is really cool to use. It is easy to clean up and as with any grater without a guard you need to prevent grading your fingers or hand. Good product.

This is such a simple, ingenious way to shred and prep food, I can't believe I haven't seen this form factor before.I am something of a kitchen gadget nerd, so when I saw this, I had to have it.It's a brilliant way to shred or slice cheese, veggies, or fruits directly into a bowl. Normally, I'd use a box grater and it would either be onto a plate or cutting board. Then, I'd have to dump that into a separate bowl or container. With this one, however, I can easily just grate directly into the bowl I'm going to be using.If you have your lettuce already prepared for instance, you can grate carrots, slice cucumbers, and then grate fresh cheese directly into the bowl where your salad is prepped.It's perfect.As with any grater, you need to clean it thoroughly, so I"m ecstatic that it's also dishwasher safe.It's lightweight, so be sure to use it on a non slip kitchen mat for best performance.Highly recommended!
