I just got a 3" hook and loop polishing head and ordered this set of discs giving me an assortment of discs to pick from. Without the fine polishing on a car, you just haven't finished the job. I do some woodwork as well, so I will definitely be ordering more discs with a courser grit. The discs are color coded and clearly labeled as to the grit which is very helpful.

These are automotive grade sanding discs. The grits are too fine for woodworking or for refining metal surfaces. They are useful for clear coat, epoxy, lacquer and other finishes. The interface pad is fine and offers good traction. Haven't put them to the test yet, but I will update shortly. These are perfect for smaller pieces of artwork or for automotive refinishing where you have to work in a small area.

These are good quality disks, the hook and loop attaches properly. Lasts well with wet and dry sanding. No complaints on these.

I've been using these on my flat lap for polishing rocks and absolutely love how easy these make it to from a flat finish to high gloss in 15 minutes. I was able to just attach the interface pad to my Velcro adapter from another kit, so the pad provides cushioning so that you can apply some decent pressure with stones mounted on top sticks without fear of scratching the rocks like I would with a hard backing plate. I can easily swap out discs with the velcro design, allowing me to go through all the discs at about a minute each, hence 10-15 minutes per rock. While I'd love a cabbing machine, these do the trick just as well. It's such a great deal as you get so many discs to work with. This is a great set for any hobbyist!

I am not going to write a huge review cuz it's not too much to say but this does give you your value for your money adhesion wise I've only tried it once and seems to be of good quality and so far works well and obviously is easy to use as far as durability goes time will tell and hopefully I can update you on that later

You're going to need a backing plate for these discs, because to my knowledge, they don't sell 3" sanders, just mandrels with backing plates for die grinders (or drills if you want). Also, these don't have dust collection holes. Regardless, these are good for small areas, touch ups or repairs. The discs are about the right weight, not too thick or thin, and the hook and loop adheres just fine to the backing plate. I don't wet sand when woodworking naturally, but use these dry. They're durable enough, and being silicon carbide, are pretty long lasting relatively speaking. I would also use these for similar purposes on metal, though I haven't had occasion to yet, but that would be a secondary purpose since I primarily work with wood. It's a good product, I'd get it again.
