No instructions. Also no tools as it requires two different size allen wrenches to tighten.

These are great tried to repair my imported hi value hoses I bought else where on line, the ends can be reused but quickly loosened and leaked again. These fixed both hoses and passed the yanked test and hot water test.. Great fix..

Reading the other reviews, one gets the idea that these are difficult to install. Some of the tips in those reviews are useful. I would add that it is not necessary to run the exterior fabric cover of an expandable hose all they way to the top of the nylon adapter - indeed it will not be possible to screw the fitting all the way to "tight." There is no leak at the point this new adapter was inserted. It worked. If the leak is at the middle of the hose, one loses a lot of length using this fix. If the leak is near one end, expect to recover most of the original length. If the leak is in the middle (of the flexible inner hose), try a different device that like those which will show up near these in the listing - one that accepts the cut ends at both attachment points.I think the bigger picture is that most expandable hoses may fail fairly early because the expanding rubber inner hose is necessarily fragile. I expect to get at least several more months out the one I have repaired with one of these devices. And, I still have five more devices on hand. Good value for money. Worth a try,

Had to use a little plummets tape to tighten the female connectors. I used 2 of the 3 of each all worked well once I added a proper seal on the female connection. Im these are great. I find most of these expanding hoses really great for one season the next season the manufacturers connections tended to break off. I had several of these hoses kicking around I thought it was a shame to throw them away. Thought I’d find another use for them l, didn’t think these would work but I gave them a try and both my 100 foot hoses are working like new again - was worth the purchase and I recommend the plumbers tape.

Our hose started to spray water from the end that connects to the water outlet.Note that there are three sets of couplers. Each set consists of a male AND female connector. You only need to use one (unless both your hose ends have leaks). You cut the hose just at the point where the small internal rubber hose (tube) can be exposed by rolling back the outer fabric layer.Take the threaded ring off the correct pair and place it on the hose in the correct orientation.Pull off the white plastic constrictor and also place this over the small rubber hose tube.Push the rubber tube onto the nozzle until it reaches the base.Push the white constrictor over the rubber tube until the notches go into the tangs on the coupler. You will have to work it side to side as the fit is really tight. I used pliers to carefully pull it into position. With just a couple of millimetres of fabric screwed into the ring, push the tube assembly into the garden hose until it won't go any further. Screw on the ring as tight as it will go. It should almost touch the base and you make need pliers to help.Put in the rubber washer, connect it up and check for leaks. If it drips a bit it's likely that the ring hasn't been screwed in far enough (it provides the pressure on the white constrictor that seals the tube to the coupler).Hope these instructions help someone.

It is easy to use and very good quality. It took me less than 5 minutes to repair my hose's open end. It is definitely a great value given its such a reasonable price. It works perfectly - repaired 4 hoses so far - no issues!!However, there is a few tricks to install it properly or you would struggle to put all things together as many people have struggled to install such connectors.1. Trick 1: use slightly hot (and optionally, soapy) water to wet the rubber end to make easy to slide on the plastic stem.2. Trick 2: make 3 lengthwise cuts of about 0.3 cm in upper sleeve so that you can connect two black parts easily. The upper sleeve cuts make it easier to spread and not cluster at one point. Otherwise you would struggle to put together as many people have been complaining. This is the KEY.Good luck repairing!!

Bought these for a hose that got damaged. They worked well enough but when I went to use the hose this year, there are leaks. It appears the male end of things actually cracked. I'm not sure if water froze and broke them or if they just didn't handle the temperature well. I'd recommend storing your repaired hose somewhere warm over winter.

My hose was very leaky after a roofer yanked on it hard enough to pull the brass connector apart from the hose. Since it wasn't a cheap hose, I thought repairing it would be worth a try, and it worked. These don't come with instructions, but you can find instructions on youtube. All the videos I found were for Pocket Hose type expandable hoses, and my hose had a thicker outer layer, so I was afraid it wouldn't work, but again, worth a try. Liquid soap made it easy to slide parts onto the inner hose. It took a little effort to get the last part screwed together to secure the outer layer of the hose, but with a little pulling and adjusting, it did work, and it doesn't leak at all. Since it's just plastic, it remains to be seen whether or not the repair will last, but I used only one of the three male connectors in the set. So, good deal.
