I've used a couple different dusters that were made similar to the 'brand leader' in the category. This one fairs well, but doesn't quite match up to it.First, the handle is solid. Other 'copies' I've tried the handle was a weak point, being not sturdy and not holding it's shape well. This one does, no complaints there.The duster itself fits on there snugly and doesn't come loose easily. And- it does, definitely pick up dust, as you can see in my pics. I gave a quick dust to the open surfaces of my bookshelves, one tv and two monitors. And a bathroom mirror. The shelves haven't been dusted in a while.My main issue, weirdly enough, is that the duster might be too full, too 'fluffy'. It looks like there's a lot of dust-catching fluff that's wasted. Like, picture something a q-tip would be perfect for. Maybe wiping up a drop of glue on a table. Now picture using a cotton ball for the same thing. Does a fine job, only a small portion of the cotton ball is used, the rest is just excess.If you're frugal and 'time-rich', meaning you have more time than you do money, then this might be worth it. I might suggest taking some scissors and cutting off the dirty part of the duster to use again. To use the clean part underneath the part of the duster you just got dirty. Again, if you have time but need savings.And also, I tried a bit on a piece of mirror that war right in the sun. This duster did kick up a lot of dust, possibly releasing what was held in it. My 'leading brand' duster did not do that as much. It seemed to capture dust a bit better. But this duster definitely catches things as you can see from the pic. And my leading brand duster was brand new, so it's maybe not a fair test.Fine to give it a shot if you're looking to save some money. Might fare well against name brands with some time put it (to trim it when it's dirty, etc.). But beyond that, it doesn't outperform the market leader.(The leader I'm talking about has a name that, if I mention pop music icon Taylor -Swift-, that should give you the only clue you need who I'm talking about).
