Pro drummer, music school owner here.These feel fine, and for the price are actually not bad. Their durability is terrible, they break very fast and leave wood chips under the drums as pieces fall off, but I gift sticks to students all the time and that gets pretty expensive if I'm using the real deal. I would not take these on a gig - but for the lesson room they're fine. They're straight, and are built accurately, feel fine.Two more things to note: They aren't lacquered. This is one of the big reasons they don't last - but this is a mixed bag because not everyone likes the feel of the lacquer on their hands and some even have allergies. However, these you can feel the woodgrain somewhat - something you can't do with real sticks (even the unlacquered ones by Promark etc)Also, the wood itself is very lightweight. they say maple and feels like maple, but the weight isn't there. So Its probably some other type of wood - but this is also a mixed bag. The low density means they break more easily, but it also brings the volume down.
