The plug fit and locked into the outlet without any issues. We had a power outage for a few days and our generator only had two 110v outlets. We used those for our fridge and garage freezer. This plug made it possible to run three additional extension cords to a mini-fridge and other necessities. I would recommend this plug.

While inventorying hurricane season supplies, I found my old L5-30 to 5-20 cord was damaged. I have a robust generator and use this to feed power to my neighbor's fridge (and hotplate) during outages.The cable is heavy duty and decently made (will get back to this soon). It uses 10AWG wire, the breakout blades seem robust, the locking plug is fine, and its 100% molded. This is where the praises stop as I found two defects:- As circled in red you can see a strand from the hot lead not crimped.- There is a 1/4" of exposed wire before the crimp on all three leads.Since the clear part is 100% sealed by rubber its not going to cause any safety issues, but it is not a good look for their manufacturing and quality departments.

I have a Honda 2000i generator with one standard plug and one locking plug. If you run your furnace, the standard plug is occupied with a grounding plug. This fixes that by creating additional standard sockets with this adapter cord.It's heavy guage and durable. The locking plug hold tight and twists easily in the socket. It works well and is a vital component to my generator during a winter or summer power outage.
