I bought these for use on mini blinds headers to beef up the area where a curtain rod that hangs over the blind header goes. I couldn’t get it to tighten down to support the weight of the curtains until I attached a couple of these. I know it’s not its intended purpose but it worked perfectly for it!

Yep, they're blocks. No doubt about it. They're nice blocks, They're super blocks. They're square. They're wooden. I'd personally recommend these blocks to anybody who's really into blocks.It's hip to be square !

I didn't check everyone for size, but in general they were all close enough for my needs. They were smooth and sanded. I was making a table out of a shelf board, and the shortest screws I could find were still too long for the board. These were just the right thickness and kept the screws from going through the top of the board. I can use the rest of them for other projects.

I would give the blocks a 4.5 if I could— they are good pieces of wood and very smooth, as well as an excellent price compared to others I’ve seen out there (that are twice as expensive and even include tiles with two pieces of wood that are joined together! Go figure!). These are solid wood tiles. BUT, the only drawback is that they are not quite 3 inches. I had made paintings which I had prints made at 3” x 3.” I would’ve waited to get the prints made, except it’s getting too close to Christmas. When the blocks arrived today, they were just shy of the paper squares, so I had to trim them down, cutting off part of the painting. 😕 It wasn’t the end of the world and they look fine, but if anyone is counting on the blocks being 3” square, they are more like 2 and 15/16” square. One-sixteenth may not sound like a lot, but when your overall size is 3 inches, it does make a difference. I saw someone had the 2 inch ones and said they were a little big, and that I could deal with with a tiny bit of wood border, but this meant I had to actually cut my art away, which broke a little piece of my heart. Even still, I wouldn’t hesitate to get these again. I would just wait to make any prints that would go on them!

They won’t charge your phone, impress your friends, or make your coffee. They’re just wooden squares, but sometimes that’s all you need. If you’ve ever looked at a problem and thought, “This would be easier if I had some really straightforward wood,” then these are your answer. Practical, solid, and refreshingly drama-free. Five stars for being unapologetically themselves.
