The wind blew the stand sideways even with locking washers. The chicken came loose and fell 30 ft to the ground. Had someone been under that or an animal, probably would not have survived. The screws even had thread tight on them. Very unsafe to have above any area that you are around. My barn is very tall and steep so I had to hire someone to install it. Now I'm out a weathervane and the money to have it installed.

Added to the roof of my she shed, next to my large chicken coop and run. It looks beautiful and our Airbnb guests love the extra "county" feel, when they come over to feed the chickens and gather eggs. It seems to be very well made and will last a very long time.

This weathervane looks great. It's the perfect size to mount on my barn, or my backyard woodworking shop. The construction looks good and all parts fit together well.

Husband was very happy to get this. Heavy duty, looks excellent on the copula. Nice and heavy not cheap looking at all. Very impressed and happy that I went with purchasing this one. I was on a budget of what I wanted to spend, even though I got this a whole lot cheaper than others I looked at , it is by far cheap quality. So glad I picked this one and saved money. You can see it real well up on roof. It's only been up a few days but we are very pleased. Looks just like what they show you and easy to assemble and attach. Whole project took about a half hour but that was getting ladder and tools together as well. Look forward to many years of use. Yes I recommend you buy this one and leave the pricey ones be.
