Installed my hog on a large metal building where my RV and boat are stored. If I am outside when someone passes by they always stop to talk about the weather vane. It is a real eye catcher 20 feet high that you just can't mis.Install was easy after getting on the roof,remember, it's 20 feet off the ground. I used a compass to set directional letters which most find handy since the street runs a funny direction. Be sure you remove your phone and personal vap devices from pocket so as not to disturb the compass with magnetic fields to avoid a second trip on the roof!!Also, be careful to get the mast vertical. Use a level or something to be sure. If not plumb, the pig will tend to point "uphill" and not show true direction of wind.I am glad to own this weather vane and would buy another.
