Glamorous way of decorating your Christmas tree

I was not expecting two separate strands of plastic garland beads when I ordered this. When I saw the description of clear gold I assumed the two styles were connected within the same strand, rather than two different strands. So at first I wasn't too happy about that, however it ended up looking great on our tree as our ornaments are a mix of silver and gold.The purpose for using the garland is exclusively for this tree, but I could see it being used in a variety of ways. It could be added to a Christmas village scene, or to a holiday wreath, It would add a nice "glimmer" to any type of decor in my opinion.With regard to quality, I wasn't too impressed as I've seen this type of crafting item at discount stores. But, as mentioned, it works great for the intended purpose (decorating the tree) so as long as you don't have too high of expectations then you will be happy with this product! I have only used it for this holiday season, I have yet to see if it holds up over the years.

This is actually two strands of crystals (gold & clear) that are just kind of twisted together, but don't really stay together all that well. Unfortunately, if you want them to stay together as a single string, you have to keep twisting them as you unroll them. That said, they are just gorgeous! They are shiny & shimmery but not to the point of being gaudy. The clear strand actually emits different colors, which looks so good. I have an artificial birch tree that lights up with white lights, and I'm going to string these up among the branches. I am also going to add some brightly colored faux birds to the branches as well. I think with the help of this crystal garland, it's going to be a real show-stopper. Would highly recommend!

I chose the clear and gold strings without realizing they are a clear string and a gold string twisted together (it does say so, I just missed it). It's sort of like getting two strings for the price of one and a half or so. Even together, they aren't quite as bulky as traditional garland, but they won't shed bristles or tinsel or get matted together in storage.The gold have a nice shine and the clear iridescent are wonderfully sparkly with hints of color, so they complement each other very well. They unwind from the roll without tangling, but you do have to retwist them a little as you go because the strands aren't very tightly wound. I had hoped to find something like this to use on one of our outdoor trees, but since the strings are cotton, I would consider this an indoor-only decoration.
