Weather stripping was super easy to install. Works well and the size is great. However, I do wish it was just a bit longer vertically. If it was a little longer it would get a better seal and reduce more air from coming in. I placed this at the bottom of our back door to help keep air from coming in. I think that if you use this in conjunction of some other weather stripping then you'll see a better result. This stripping is meant more for the sides of the door frame where the door rests when closed, for that application it works very well.

When I peel off the paper protecting the adhesive, it pulls the adhesive off of the stripping!

The price and 4.4 overall reviews of this weather stripping seal led to my purchase. My project was to secure the gaps around a 1 bedroom window to prevent cold air from seeping in from in the gaps. The installation was a breeze, however, removing the backing was quite difficult with my fingers. I had to use an eyeglass repair flathead screwdriver to pull the backing off. As of today, it's been 3 months since I installed the weather stripping seal and it's still secure and prevents cold air from seeping in from the gaps.

Overall VERY happy with purchase. My only complaint is that it's a little hard to peel the backing off to get started.

I have a side door that gets a lot of traffic and faces the predominate wind direction. Over the years, gaps have emerged and lead to drafts. I have tried other solutions to varying degrees of success, including draft stoppers of all sorts of designs and configurations. This solution, combined with a draft stopper, has made an outstanding difference so far. It is important to read the application suggestions in advance for optimal performance. This will ensure a seamless installation. Removing the backing and applying to the parameter of the door was a breeze (some pun intended). The adhesive took well immediately, although I did apply some pressure because it was exposed to a temperature colder than the manufacturers suggestion. It has held in place for over a week now. I can tell it is making a difference as the floor in the immediate vicinity is warmer than usual. Time will tell if it can withstand the entire winter. However, so far so good. I highly recommended this item.

Our 8' sliding door needed the seals replaced as they were worn out and allowing air to sneak through. I am happy with the results of this weather stripping. Outlined below are my thoughts about using the product.Size - I had more than enough product to do both sides on two 8' sliding glass doors.Installation - The weather stripping comes in a tight coil. I was a little confused at first as it is a double coil but worked out well as I measured once and was able to get both sides done in one cut. I used household scissors to cut it with no problem. Once cut to size, I pealed the paper back about 6" then lined it up where I wanted. As I worked my way down from the top, I would peal and press the strip to get a nice even and straight line. It was extremely easy to install and took only a few minutes to do.Results - Since installing, I no longer have air flow seeping in from the door. In my situation, the old doors don't like to stay tight so I put a strip on the inside of the jam where the latch is which has significantly cut down on the slam noise and feel from kids throwing the door. It also helped to allow the latch to tighten more which stopped the annoying opening of the other side of the door from constantly being open and closed. I am not sure how waterproof this is but as far as wind protection it is solid. Perfect for anyone looking for an inexpensive option to cut down on air leaks for a window or door.
