I wanted to use a single pair of desktop speakers with multiple sources, and this gets the job done, however, there is a noticeable signal loss when connected through this switch. My speakers have enough juice that it isn't a deal breaker, but if your speakers are on the edge of not being powerful enough to do what you need, this may be the straw that breaks the camel's back for them. Other than the weak signal, the sound quality is good; no compression, no pops, no static.

When plugged into live sources there will be buzzing and modulation when the selected source isn't currently outputting. Even when the selector is set to the middle there is auditory artifacting present.
