This 8K switch works well for 4K 120Hz. It doesn't have an off switch but it's meant to be powered by your TV's USB port which shuts off when it's powered down. The power delivery is a bit sensitive so if you have it plugged into an outlet or other source where it's always on or where it has access to a higher charge level, it can send that extra energy back to your HDMI port and make it whine somehow.The unit itself is very lightweight which is a negative since any cable will move this from its place. Realistically, it's built to hang at the mercy of every wire you put into it except its power cord. A weighted or adhesive base would've been nice to see here. The remote controller also has no instructions to open it or has any indicators of what batteries it takes for replacement, so that's probably going to be broken at some point.Despite its issues it does work. It just has some odd quirks to it and needs better power regulation for idling and low transfer loads. Particularly at this price.
