I was hoping I could hook this IR receiver to the IR/IN port on my Pioneer Elite SC-79 receiver to allow me to control the receiver after reposition it inside a cabinet. Unfortunately, it did not work for my needs. I could not control my receiver through this device. I assume this IR unit is not compatible with my Pioneer Elite receiver. I'm not willing to blame this device. I just need to try other options and do more research. I looked at this as my first test, since it would have been a clean, simple, fast and cheap solution.

This cable's 1.5 meter legnth turned out to be perfect for extending the reach of my IR remote without any hassle.
