I used these to hang Christmas lights around the columns on the porch. The are sturdy and easy to screw in the aluminum.

These are perfect...keep Christmas lights in place and are a nice quality which look like will last for a while. Bought a wing nut driver for drill to assist in installation.

I purchased these because I needed a means to hang string lights outside, and I didn't want the lights to accidentally slip out of their hanger hardware. I purchased on box, then bough another because they worked so well. The plastic closing lever works excellently for holding the suspended object in place with no worry that it will fly out of the hook. Also, the hooks anchor so well, it would take an unreasonable amount of weight (relative to the hook size) to pull them out.
