This was a purchase because my husband can’t stand when flies are in the house. This has been a wonderful addition to the house. It has set an impenetrable barrier so that we aren’t under siege constantly by these winged fiends. If you find yourself standing motionless in the middle of your kitchen with arm raised in preparation of death and destruction by way of a flappy piece of plastic, this product is for you!! Buy it and join us sitting on the couch, eating a sandwich with out worry that a germ ridden fly will swoop in and land on your bologna!

The 36 inch wall mounted air curtain from Fanspex is a strong and functional unit suitable for commercial and residential environments. I installed this model above a garage door and tested it extensively. The included remote control and magnetic door switch allow for easy operation and automatic engagement when the door opens or closes. The fan operates with two distinct speed settings, which provide flexible airflow management depending on the environment and temperature conditions. At both speed levels, the airflow is consistent and effective at separating interior and exterior air spaces, helping maintain temperature and deter insects or dust from entering. The 120 watt consumption rating is relatively low for the output, making this an energy efficient choice for frequent use.The instructions were well written and the installation process was clear and manageable. Build quality is solid with a metal housing and a quiet motor that does not vibrate or rattle during operation. The performance exceeded my expectations, particularly in maintaining airflow across a wide opening. This product is a practical and well-priced solution for anyone seeking a reliable air curtain. I recommend it based on its construction quality, operational efficiency, and ease of use.

Received it in this huge box. It's light and looks fairly decent. Instalation process was not the easiest but it wasn't super hard either. The booklet what it came with could be more specific.I was under the impression that the air flow would have been stronger than what it actually is. But once it was installed and everything set up I'm very happy with the results. Hadn't had a fly in the house since it has been installed. The picture was taken while we are still working on it. Ended up buying a black extension cord and feeding it along the door frame with brackets.

The overall build of this fan seems pretty good. It's all metal, or mostly metal anyway, and when it's going, it really puts out a lot of air. I got it primarily for insect control, but it probably works well to keep the heat (or cool) in the space as well, I just have no way to really test this. As I said, though, it's mainly to keep the bugs out, and it works really well for that.I love that it has a remote control (batteries NOT included), which works great. You can adjust the direction of the airflow, which I did simply by feeling the airflow with my hand and tweaking it into position. It's not super-heavy, but because the motor does produce a little torque, you'll want to make sure it's securely mounted, which isn't very difficult at all. Cable routing is probably the most difficult part. The only reason I took -1 star off is it seems to be quite a bit louder than advertised. It's not annoyingly loud, you're not going to have to cover your ears coming through the door or anything, so it's nothing like that. It's just clearly louder than 50dB, though. I'm guessing somewhere in the 60-70dB range.Overall, though, it works very well, and I think for the quality level, it's a decent value for the money. Of course, time will tell on how long it lasts, but right now, everything is golden. 4 stars.
