Update: I reached out to the selller and explained the issue and he refused my money. While I live the design, the mold does not stand straight up making it impossible to get the resin in evenly. The claws are almost impossible to get out without them breaking. I added a black rose in the palm instead of a candle.

This mold has potential, but unfortunately, it has proven to be quite difficult to cast. It's very squishy, which normally means that detailed molds should de-mold quite easily. However, tall squishy molds like these topple over easily once filled with your casting material. Granted, I rectified it by putting the filled mold in a bowl rice. (I could possibly make a mother mold for it if I can get it to keep from breaking.) Unfortunately, despite being very squishy and flexible, it does not pull up and over the claws. I believe this is because the claws are wider than the base of the mold. So the mold can only stretch so much and refuses to come up over the claws. I made a total of 3 castings, and the nails broke off inside the mold 2 out of the 3 castings. I was hoping that I could remove them in one piece so that I could glue them back together. Sadly, they broke into multiple pieces when I attempted to take them out. I also noticed that the claws are not as squishy. I believe this is to make sure the mold can stand up on its own. However, it makes it difficult to remove the claws. I used Plaster of Paris in the first casting, and used concrete with the other two. I did not add any reinforcement on the first one, but I did add strong 12g wire into the claws, and still they broke. So, in my opinion, this mold would only be good to cast with resiin. The bad thing about using resin with this is that resin can release toxic fumes when heated, as it would be if you put a real candle in it. You would have to find an epoxy or resin that has high heat resistance. Even then, I don't know if I would trust it near an open flame. It's a shame because I really love the look. Unfortunately, it's quite difficult to de-mold, especially without breaking one or all of the claws.

It doesn't stand up very well by itself.
