Your cart is empty.3M 4941 VHB tape is a double-sided tape which utilizes a multi-purpose acrylic adhesive on both sides of conformable foam. The adhesive provides excellent adhesion to a broad range of high and medium surface energy substrates including metals, glass, and a wide variety of plastics, as well as Plasticized vinyl. The conformable foam provides good contact, even with mismatched substrates. Application uses include ABS support structure bonding, aluminum floor bonding, bonding door kick and seal plate, bonding glass to a metal oven door, bonding mounting bars to glass, bus body side panel bonding, channel stiffener bonding on truck bodies, commercial vehicle roof vent attachment, commercial vehicle trim attachment, extruded plastic channel bonding, interior rail car construction, Nameplate attachment on commercial vehicles, rail car bonding metal stiffeners, rail car light cover attachment, roof bow bonding on truck bodies, side panel bonding on commercial trailers, stack unit support bracket bonding, trim fairing bonding on truck Cab exteriors and truck body Nameplate bonding. If trying to bond to more porous substrates such as granite or marble 3M 4941 would be the recommended VHB to go with along with their 3M 94 primer product first on both surfaces bonding to. 3M VHB tape provides the convenience and simplicity of a tape fastener and are ideal for use in many interior and exterior structural bonding applications. In many situations, they can replace rivets, spot welds, liquid adhesives and other permanent fasteners. These VHB tapes are made with acrylic foam which is viscoelastic in nature. This gives the foam energy absorbing and stress relaxing properties which provides these tapes with their unique characteristics. The lower right outer shell of my oven door (Whirlpool) separated from the glass, so I needed to repair it. The tape is only half the thickness needed so I had to double up. Within two days, the same thing happened but to the left side. Seems to be holding fine otherwise. Unfortunately, I have to make the repair again but am holding off for a while because scraping all that old stuff off is a beast. Overall, I would recommend but buyer needs to know they will likely need to double up. Hopefully, I have enough to complete a second repair.

We used the double sided tape to attach the trim around the range door snd it worked like a charm.

The metal trim on our oven door had popped loose. I couldn't remove the trim, only pry it enough to add this tape onto the old black tape that had failed. You must be mindful not to bend the metal trim. If you do, this tape can't do its job.First I used alcohol, Q-tips and alcohol swabs wrapped around the Q-tips to clean the black tape and glass. Then I took my time positioning the new tape onto the old tape. I used two strips about four inches long. I placed one strip over the vertical black tape along the side of the door, and the other over the horizontal black tape at the top of the door.As you can see in the photos, I used wooden clamps to hold the glass and trim upright while I worked, and as much light as possible to see what I was doing. Once the tape was in place, I clamped the trim and glass together. The third photo shows the tools I used.The fourth photo shows the end result. There is a slight gap because this tape is on top of the old black tape. If I could have managed it, I would have removed the old tape, but that wasn't an option. I'm very pleased with the outcome.I hope this helps someone with the same problem. Removing the door, taking your time and having the tools you need is essential. This tape works. The small tape pieces that Whirlpool sells does not. You need longer pieces.

Bought to use to replace outer oven glass and it worked perfectly. Also used when I replaced wiper cowl on car. Worked there as well

I used this tape to reattach an outside glass panel on an oven door. I was concerned that oven heat might affect adhesion but it did not. The tape is very sticky so be sure you have the object you are attaching lined up properly.

Our oven door was separating. It is not old, but not covered under warranty. We were able to fit some of this tape where the door was separating and it is holding it together! I have baked in the oven and the tape handled the heat. I have not tried cleaning my oven yet. That will be a lot hotter than regular baking. We hope it holds together.
