I installed a new rear power sliding glass in a Dodge Ram Pickup. It leaked. I removed the rear seats and inside moldings and could not find the leak. As it turned out I had removed the rear brake light to ensure it would not impead the installation. When I reinstalled the brake light I sealed it with silicon caulk. This did not work and the problem was the seal. This gasket fit perfectly and stopped the light from leaking.

One gasket is not enough. There is still a void above the housing. If you use both gaskets it is water tight.

I used both gaskets and the light still leaks in heavy rainfall. Gaskets have glue on them if you remove the cover paper. Unfortunately this creates another problem because now the light cover is glued to the truck and I cannot remove. No instructions provided. Buying these gaskets made the problem go from bad to worse. Would strongly recommend against purchasing.

The gasket/s are too hard. They don’t compress enough with the pressure from tightening the lens and the center develops a clear gap between the seal and the sheet metal. The adhesive is required to create a seal when added pressure is applied to the lens forcing the gap closed. The problem is the seal is then under tension to maintain a seal. This is sure to fail sooner rather than later. To top it off I tried to tighten it down to close the gap and the speed nut gave out. So now I need to remove it but I won’t due to fear the stuck seal will tear during removal and I’ll have nothing.

I received the gasket quickly and it was well packed. The install was clean and easy and worked well. Before installing I could not go thru the car wash without water running in my roof and now it's well sealed.
