Very nice... not quite what I was expecting, but still perfect. I used this in the ocean and it worked great. I love that it opens into a tripod, and the extending monopod is nice too. Compact and easy to carry with you. That said, it is a bit bulky, for normal use, but anytime around water I am very happy to have it.

I just tested this tripod on vacation. It’s fantastic. We played with it in the ocean and it floats great. We were even throwing the tripod with the go pro on it, letting it plop in the ocean and then float. It worked perfectly. Next, we took it on a fishing charter boat. We used it as a tripod on the back deck to film up front. It was very stable, even while the boat was moving. We even had it at maximum extension in the boat and it was stable. It was a great tool for filming. We would even grab it, extended and stick the camera underwater. It’s an awesome tool all around. I’d highly recommend this to anyone with an action camera.
