3 stars because of price hike. $1.75 per oz. is very expensive especially when buying a four-pack. I paid 65 cents per ounce for the same four-pack in 2013 on Amazon. I get it, in 2023 we have inflation, but this increase is ridiculous. However, I cannot find a better price, so I bought it again. It is a great product for pool o rings.

If you have a pool you need this lube. Put it on every oring and gasket or any sealing surface and you will never have a leak.wont degrade rubber. Ive been using this for years as a pool service tech and its never failed me.

Magic lube is used to treat the O rings used in the pool filter. The lube keeps the rings from drying out, keeps them water-proof, and makes it easy to put all the pieces together. This was a good price for the 4 tubes. I go through about a tube and 1/2 a year.

more lube for less and I see no difference in this compared to the Magic Lube I bought at the local pool store except of course it did not cost as much as the local store. I had trouble with getting the filter O-ring to seal but once I covered it with Magic Lube the two halves slipped together and I did not have to tighten the bolts as much and I did not have to smack the band with a hammer to get it to seal.

I have always bought this at the pool store for $8 for .05 oz size, so I thought this was a good deal, but when it arrived I was shocked at the size of the tubes. I thought they were .5 oz but these are the size of tooth paste tubes at 5 oz.it's not a miss print. The product works well for lubing all of your O rings. If you have some disposable rubber gloves it will be a plus as this stuff does not come off easily.

I discovered this stuff working with my father-in-law - he got it at a pool supply place in CA somewhere, and it seems like his tube had been around forever (old) but still worked great - he swears by it. I had been borrowing his one day when I decided I ought to get my own, and stop being a slouch, so I got 4 and gave him two. It works great for any plumbing project that has seals, threads or other mating surfaces, and I have even used it for not plumbing projects like: My Vacu-Vin wine suction plunger - to lubricate plastic parts that will get wet often, hose-end threads, hose nozzle plungers, easing rubber hose or fittings onto pipe/nipples - lubricate nylon wheels/axles, and fantastic for sliding vinyl window tracks (just a touch!) - this beats the PTFE or silicone stuff you find at the big-box stores. Also, it is safe for use on potable water sources! I highly recommend it.
