These are small dishes, about 2 inches around. They are a good size for setting out multiple foods at one time. My concern is that they are very, very light. They are also thin. For hermit crabs, I expected a little more weight to them. Any animal with strength would be able to shove this around. My hermit crabs are in 1 inch opening shells, and they could easily drag these dishes across their tank and hide with them. I'm sure that's great for the crab, but it makes clean up a little harder. I will probably use these as "feet" to hold wood so it does not touch the damp substrate rather than using them for food dishes.
