Just used them while installing a slide topper on my RV. They worked great, I used the smaller one to catch any screws I may drop…worked twice…lol. I first saw them while watching a video on installing slide toppers on RVs. The person doing the video had a set of Matco magnetic pads. I looked them up and was shocked at the price, these are a great value and I don’t believe the other ones work $50 plus better. The craftsmanship looks very good and I saw no real flaws. It is great having the different sizes also, made my job easier. Funny, I did drop a screw that my pickup with the wand magnet, it was a very powerful magnet. I would purchase again if needed or give them as a present.

These magnetic trays/pads and pickup tool are really good quality and durable to use everyday. The magnets are really strong and both sides of the pads and tray are magnetic. The pads are cover in a fabric to protect vehicle fenders or wherever you put it. The pick up tool has a strong magnet that telescopes for easy reach in hard to get to places. The square tray collapses for using it like a small tray or cup. I work at a dealership and use these everyday and I can tell you, they are very durable and are essential to secure loose nuts and bolts and even tools! Everything you get is just as described and will really exceed your expectations! Good job!

I am really excited by this set! My husband does a lot of the work on our vehicles, and I originally snagged it thinking it would be a game changer for him. Once I had a chance to look it over, I'm thinking I might use it myself instead. The largest mat will be perfect to hang in my patio shed and organize some of my gardening tools. I added the little cup to the tool box I keep in my cleaning closet. My plan is to use it to hold bits and pieces when I'm assembling things. I love how compact it is! I'm still debating what to do with the other mat. Got these recently and put them to a test when changing the transmission in a Nissan.Super handy - stick the mats to the top of the fenders and you have a magnetic storage place for nuts, bolts and tools!The underside is soft enough to not mar the paint, and the topside is imprinted with round marker to keep thing organized.Had no issues sticking bolts, sockets and smaller tools to this - nothing came off even when at an angle.Overall very happy I got them and will use them all the time when working in engine bays!

Really like the small and larger magnet mats, they feel like they would work well placing on a side of a car to hang tools off of. The catch would be a "clean" car that is... don't think I would use on a dirty car as it might simply scratch as you place or remove from the painted surface. Using off a toolbox would be better as I see no issues there. You can clearly see each of the round magnets in the mats, don't see this as an issue as I found everything I tried was held in place as I would like to see. The magnet pickup tool worked really well and found that it had a reasonable amount of pull, making it a very use full tool as well. The magnetic small parts tray was the disappointment in this kit, basically it will hold itself to a toolbox while in storage mode. Found the magnetic pull from the part tray to be so weak that it's basically usable for up right organization and not relying on the pull from the magnets. I much rather use one of those metal magnetic trays instead.

I ordered this magnetic tool set with a particular mechanic in mind he’s a bit of a car collector, and something always seems to need fixing. But when I opened the box to check it out, I started realizing how incredibly useful this set could be beyond just automotive work.The trays and mats are well-designed and strong enough to hold small parts securely no more lost washers or runaway screws. This would be perfect for outdoor projects like building, roofing, fencing, or even plumbing, where things have a tendency to fall, tip over, or get scattered. These magnetic pieces help keep everything organized and within easy reach.Then I got an idea to try it in my art studio and it worked beautifully. I set up the large magnetic mat vertically and was able to stick a bunch of my palette knives to it. Instant tool rack! This set is practical, smartly designed, and surprisingly adaptable.I love this set. Such a brilliant, simple idea. I’m going to need another set for me too!

Wish I had this set years ago. A great invention for working on cars. The large and small trays have a strong magnetic base that holds tools quite strongly. These would also stick to metal under the hood. However, most modern cars have the metal parts covered in plastic. But once the plastic covers are removed, these will stick to the exposed metal. There is also a smaller square piece with retractable sides and a magnetic bottom. Pull up the sides and it forms a large cup that is perfect for holding bolts, screws, and other metallic parts as you work. And when you inevitably drop a nut, washer, or other small part down the side of the engine, there is an antenna-like tool with a magnet at the end of the extendable shaft that can fit into those tight spaces and retrieve the small metal part. I will definitely use this set on other, non-automotive repairs. On any project where I am using metal tools, I will bring out one or more of these magnetic pads to keep all the tools together in one place.
