I rearranged the garage where my wife parks her car. The shelves stick out 3 inches further than before. Somehow, that 3 inches doesn't register with her. She still pulls in the exact same spot, so now when she gets out, her driver's side door hits on one of the metal shelves. (It's a 2 car garage, moving over 3 inches shouldn't be a problem, but it is.)I got these door guards when she complained that her car was getting scratched up. I measured where the shelf hit the door and then put the guard on so it would protect the edge of the door. It was no problem putting them on, and she even likes the way they look. Marriage saver.
