Works great. The feature I like best is the hot swappable batteries, so I can keep working without interruption beyond the time that the first 4 batteries are depleted. The inverter works great, although I've only had loads of up to 150 watts on it so far.

Bought this because Milwaukee didn't make one. I didn't have high hope and was really like for something for backup power for camping. It is very well made and so far has been working great.

This works pretty well as an inverter itself...it would be nice if it was 500 watts but they probably limited it because of tiny batteries (maybe 2 modes?). It totally mystifies me why they didn't make this an inverter and when plugged into ac...a charger. I would have paid $50 more even if it was just sequential. Couldn't get the 12v outs to work with several different devices and cords.

Unless the quality/life of this product ends up bad, this is a good purchase for the money. Rather than complaining about what it isn't (a M18 battery charger), lets compare it to some things of equal cost. For example, I wanted a M18-run fan, and for the main brand it would be the same price as this. Instead I can buy this, and have a MUCH longer run time option for a fan I already own, plus a flashlight, plus a light weight charger/inverter for other stuff. Or I could buy the main brand "top off unit" for the same price. With this I again get longer run time options, a flashlight, and a higher Watt max (350W vs 175W for the top off unit) for running things. BUT, lets talk about what this is not: the pictures of an electric chainsaw run off of this are silly. You can't do that. This is going to run about 3AMP products, max. The 350W is all they say, they don't mention a separate startup peak, but I would not push past 3AMP. It would be nice if they indicated peak startup watts.I tested mine out by inserting two new 6AMP forge batteries. I then tested charging a flashlight battery via the USB ports (5W draw). Next, a variable speed fan (30W draw) off the AC plug, and then a medium sized TV (150W draw). All seemed to perform fine. I then turned the unit off, but left one battery attached for 72 hours. I could detect no phantom draw off the M18 battery when the unit was completely turned off during this time. In the standby mode, the continual draw was between 2-3 watts (just for keeping the inverter unit "on"). Keeping the unit off seems to cause no draw to an attached battery. This does not seem like a unit you want to go out of your way to abuse outdoors, but unless it prematurely dies on me, this has a lot of utility for the price. Being able to attach 4 batteries at once really makes for super long run times on low wattage appliances (I could probably run a fan for several days). Supposedly it will shut off before your batteries get too low, so as not to damage your batteries.I will update if it kraps out on me. Its internal cooling fan runs when I was using it with my TV (anything over 100W), but that is to be expected if you want heat protection, etc. Overall, this just really gives me some good power outage options for the M18s I already have laying around, all at a good price.

I just bought it and put 2 6 ah high output batteries in it. It killed my batteries instantly. They won’t produce power and when I put them on the charger it blinks green/red. I’m pissed

Will not run a saw or coffee maker. Not even close. But will run a TV and internet for hours and hours with a 9mah, 2 6mah and a 5 mah milwaukee battery.
