This is a nice option if you have an old outlet that you need to plug into to charge your EV. You just need to remember to limit the amps in your car or charger to 24 so you don't burn the outlet. The wire feels thick, and the grip is nice to help unplug and plug the cord.

This cord fit the charger that came with a 2023 Chevy Bolt, plugged into my wall outlet well and has worked completely without any problems. It's always nice to buy something that simply does the job it was meant to do.

I got this to be part of my traveling EV charging kit. NEMA 10-30 is a dryer outlet found in many older homes but is often discouraged from using as an EV charging outlet due to it not being grounded. The danger is that a short can energize the entire dryer and could shock and even kill you. So it's not something I would use except in an emergency. And that's why it's in my kit. It seems well built and a good deal for the price. I would just not make using this a regular thing.. I haven't had to use it yet, it's for a just-in-case scenario but the unit seems robustly built and ready for the job.

We recently bought our first EV and are awaiting an electrician to put 240v into our detached garage. In the meantime, when we aren’t slow charging via the 120v, we bought this adapter which goes into our 240v dryer outlet in a side porch next to the driveway, while the other end allows us to plus in the charging cord that came with the car (Equinox EV). Works slick. Great adapter cord. Heavy duty with grips that make it easy to plug in and unplug. Easy-to-find neon color. Smart-twist cord to have one plug in facing in and the other outward.

Really good to convert a 1030 to 1450 for Tesla charger works great. Only thing I wish is that it was a little bit longer.
