- Calculate the perimeter of your window
- Choose the window seal size that is longer and closer to your perimeter.
E.g. a+b+c+d = 380 cm, the right size is 400 cm

- Lay the cloth window seal flat on a table
- Curved part is BLUE, the wider side of the window seal

- Start from matching the middle of the narrow side GREEN to the window handle (RED DOTS)
- Stick wide side BLUE to the window frame
- Stick narrow side GREEN to the window casement
- Close the window and make sure the window seal isn't clamped

ALTERNATIVE WAY OF HOOK TAPE APPLICATION
- For certain window types and window corners can it be better to install the hook tape on the side of the window casement. This way the window can still be closed when the window seal is installed. IF YOUR WINDOW HAS A SPECIAL SHAPE AND THE WINDOW SHOULD NOT CLOSE EASILY WHEN THE WINDOW SEAL IS INSTALLED CAN YOU SIMPLY REMOVE THE WINDOW SEAL FROM THE HOOK TAPE OF THE WINDOW CASEMENT AND CLOSE THE WINDOW
- Another tip is to stick the hook tape on the outer edge of your window frame. This allows you to open and close your window effortlessly

I have crank windows that open outward. This worked just fine on mine. All that I had to do was reverse the instructions. Worked great keeping the heat out and the cool in during the summer very easy to install, only about 15mins or so. The velcro is small enough as to not stick out when the adapter isn't in use. It didn't rip when I moved it along the window when I installed it. Seemed pretty thick, probably well enough made to be used for multiple years to come. The zipper being double ended gave enough for the vent and the drain tubing to go out the window. Great for use in a home that only needs a portable AC occasionally.

The HOOMEE Window Seal for Portable Air Conditioner wasn’t as good as I was hoping. While it does the job of sealing the window, it required too much taping to get it installed properly. The process was more time-consuming and cumbersome than I expected, which was a bit disappointing. It might work well for some setups, but in my case, it wasn’t as convenient as I had hoped. I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re looking for a quick and easy solution.

I bought the HOOMEE 400 CM Universal Window Seal for my portable air conditioner, and I am very satisfied with the purchase. The quality of the product is excellent, and it comes very well sealed. The installation instructions are clear and detailed, making the installation quick and easy, even on my window that opens from the bottom.The package includes all the necessary accessories for installation. However, as a recommendation, it would be helpful to include something to tie up the excess parts if the window is shorter. Other than that, the product works perfectly and has significantly improved the efficiency of my air conditioner. I would definitely recommend it for its excellent quality-price ratio.

We bought a new house, immediately moved in and a month later had our first baby. On top of all this commotion the water heater broke and flooded the house. Needless to say we were stressed as was our piggy bank. Flash forward and the weather starts heating up. We knew this house had no air conditioning and not a single ceiling fan in sight but the casement windows were a surprise. We rushed to find a solution to utilize our standing air conditioning and keep our baby cool. This product did just that! Takes a moment to read the directions and conceptualize the application especially for us since our windows crank out but once we figured it out, it worked perfectly. I was worried about a complete seal especially with the rain but we've had some major thunderstorms lately and there's been no issue whatsoever. We have since hired a company to install wall split units but until then this product saved us time, money, and stress. Thank you!

Tygbiten funkade precis som tänkt tills det var dags att flytta...Limmet på kardborrebandet som följer med vägrade lämna vårt fönster och krävde många timmars gnuggande med aceton och till slut fick vi måla om hela fönsterlisten. Inte optimaltSkulle rekommendera att använda ett annat kardborreband än medföljande om det inte är tänkt att stanna där tillsvidare.

The installation took a bit of time, but with watching the YouYube video and one of the clips left in the reviews, I managed to get it right almost straightaway. The only tip I'd pass on would be to make sure you don't attach the corners to the velcro too tightly, cause it will make it harder to open and close the window. I only attached it to three sides of the window, as the fourth side is airtight so I didn't want any faff with extra material. My window opens both ways (kiep-kantel for Dutchies) and the seal works pretty well. I can only use it one way now, but that's fine. If I want to close the window I have to make sure the zipper doesn't get stuck at the top, but I can still close it which is all I need really. I tested it with my aircon and it's great, barely any outside air gets in.

This is a great idea with an interesting implementation, and with a few minor alterations to the design it would be perfect. As it is, it does a great job.First, the Velcro sides should be flipped. They send a roll of prickly side for the sticker for your window and have the soft side sewn in. While trying to run your finger over the Velcro you stick on your window frame, it is going to hurt, but if they made the soft side the side that was stuck on the window, there wouldn’t be that problem.Second, the ordering instructions say to order the closest rounded number to your window perimeter, but that will leave a small crack if your window is slightly larger than the size, so if your window perimeter is over 400cm, get the 500cm. As it sits, the edge that follows along the physical window has spots that bunch up.Which leads me to my last complaint, 100cm is WAY too big for that to be the size difference options. I needed a 425 or 450, as my window perimeter was 416cm, but getting the 500cm would have been crazy. But now I have a small section of my casement that leaks the hot air back in. I will have to make a small two sided strip to fit the difference.Over all though, this is a great solution to this problem. My summer will be nice and cool because of this product!

Ok, yes it took me over an hour to install and I’m glad I didn’t rush it, turned out perfect. I have a portable a/c in the living room of our condo but was never able to use it in the bedroom do to the window being outward facing, no way to vent the hot air out and close off the rest of the window. Just bought a dual hose a/c from the neighbor who is moving (75 bucks, nice!) and found this kit on amazon. It actually installs, functions and finishes better than the description and pictures. Cold enough to need an extra blanket in July, love it. Now I’m on a hunt to find another deal on a dual hose a/c to replace our single hose a/c in the living room. Absolutely no comparison no matter what btu rating the single hose unit is, mine is 14000. Never buy a single hose a/c!

I was nervous trying to fit my portable aircon to an awning style window. This device made it easy. It works really well, letting the air vent out without letting any other air exchange. Only negative is the street noise penetrates the fabric, but the sound of the aircon covers most of that and it is worth it for the cool air! I just shut the window when not in use and leave the hoomee fully attached - ready for next time.

I ordered this for the bedroom above the garage that is always hot during the summer. I had a portable unit from my daughter's college days but thought it would be impossible to use because I have casement windows. I had been looking at other ventless AC units on Amazon when I came upon this window seal solution. It works great! I got it in the mail on Saturday and installed it on Sunday. Easy install. 10 to 15 minutes max. Got an email message from the supplier HOOMEE asking if I needed help installing it, but I had already done it before I got the message and the link to an instruction video. The printed directions that came with the seal were very self explanatory, but it did help to see the photos other reviews had posted to see it on the window. My only issue was of my own making. I did not contact HOOMEE before I ordered a size to see how exactly to determine the size you needed. I just based it on a review I saw and looked at their window size. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this product. A inexpensive and quick fix to use a portable AC unit with casement windows. Would recommend it without hesitation. My window still closes properly with the window seal installed and it hold my exhaust tube properly when in use or not in use. It comes with ties to attach the hose to the zippers of the seal to make sure it all stays together and secure. Best $ I think I have ever spent to make my home more comfortable for guests using that bedroom.
