Great inserts for 3D prints or plastic related projects.Good variety for many sizes of M2-6 size screws. The inserts have a good shape that holes plastic well when properly installed.

These brass embedment nuts worked great. I only used one size so far and I had to try a couple times to get the hole size correct. Mind you that might be because I am new to using these on my 3D printed products. I wished they would have provided suggested hole sizes for each of the nuts provided. It would help new users. After I got the hole size correct the nuts held great and I had no issues. That is my only complaint but at this price-point it is very minor. Definitely recommend to other 3D printer users.

I've only used a few of these so far but I'm already really happy with the quality! They seem to be true to specs and hold well in the 3D-printed parts I've used them in. You really don't get many of the larger sizes (just 6-8 a piece). That said, there's a lot of the smaller sizes and I've mainly been using these to mount various development boards (Arduino, STM32, etc) to bases I've designed+printed so it's easier to prototype with them. The case they come in is nicer than most of the ones the rest of my electronic components come in - it snaps tight, is fairly rigid, and there's no chance for the pieces to mixed up. All in all, I'm happy with this kit.

If you do any sort of 3d printing, threaded inserts are great to have. Just make sure you pick up threaded inserts for 3D printing like these ones. The ones with the angled ribs like these are for 3d printing, there are cheaper ones that have ribs on them that are straight vertical. The ones with the vertical fins are meant for injection molding and do not hold well for pulling out on 3d printing. This set is great, has many different sizes and lengths. Most of what I use is M3 hardware but just found myself needing some M5 ones the other day and I was glad I had this on-hand.

The storage container is very nice and good quality. I accidently tipped the storage container over and all the embedment nuts stayed in their respective compartments and didn’t get mixed up. I sure breathed a sigh of relief on that one. I know that is what the storage container is supposed to do, but I have had storage containers in the past that kept the contents sorted but if you tipped it over, the contents would definitely get mixed up.I used the M2.5, M3, M4 and M6 embedment nuts so far and they all threaded well. These embedment nuts all look clean and are good quality. These all inserted nicely into the plastic and I haven’t had any fail when tightening the screws down into the embedment nuts. I also like that they included a pair of tweezers with this kit because it really does come in handy especially on the very small embedment nuts.

Nice selection of insets with different heights of each diameter. The alternate directional knurling helps to hold the insert in more fixed, stable manner. This set is well organized in a marked and divided case which seems to be much better made then most of them do. Note that it does NOT come with a set of soldering tips, so make sure you have the tips on hand. It does come with tweezers, which are handy for placing the insert accurately.I use these for 3D printed parts that I need to securely connect together with hardware after printing. These are great for attaching parts that you want to be able to adjust placement later, or adding on hardware to your project, like hinges or connecting materials that CA glue doesn't hold as well, like PETG.You'll want to design the hole for them to be seated in to be the same size (plus tolerance) as the end before the knurling starts. Hand push the start of the insert into the hole, then set your soldering iron to the same temperature that you printed the material at, When it's up to temp, place the tip of the iron into the insert and leave it sit there for 30 seconds or so until the insert is heated. Then carefully & slowly press in the inserts into the workpiece as straight & perpendicular to the work surface as possible. Stop pressing in when the insert is flush with the surface.Make sure there is is plenty of room for the melted plastic to flow out the back, for example, if your heat insert is 5mm tall, I would design my part to have a hole that is at least 30% deeper than the actual height of the inset -otherwise the plastic will flow upwards and make a bulging ring at the top, keeping your parts from sitting flush against each other.

Reviewed: 400Pcs Brass Knurled Threaded Embedment Nuts M2 M2.5 M3 M4 M5 M6These are well made with well cut, accurate threads. They install easily and are very secure once cool. The dimensions shown on the sales page are accurate but the diameter of the smooth machined boss on the end is not given nor is it always consistent across different lengths of the same diameter. I like to set the printed hole size so that the boss end of the insert snaps into the printed hole so had to measure.I printed a quick test part in Bambu Basic PLA for each screw size and set them with my usual temperatures. They set fine but with a bit more squeeze-out on both ends than expected. Some detailing of printed hole size and temperatures gave better results. There is no suggested hole size given so some experimenting may be in order.Once set I did a pull test on a few and none budged. Nice. The locking plastic box has a printed map to locate the inserts and tweezers are included to pick them out. All in all at $7.89 this set is a very good value with many common thread sizes and lengths used in 3D printing.
