its very easy to install by simply following the instructions provided in the manual. the cord length is good enough in my garage and charging speed is good enough. the design is more attractive in use.

Since I already had a 240v/50amp outlet for my EV, the plug in model was an easy install. It works incredibly well at an affordable price. I have an KIA EV, and my wife plan to have a TESLA, so, making this work with a Tesla takes buying an additional adapter for about $40. What I like with this unit is the 25 ft cord...the plug-in outlet for the unit is in the garage and the cord easily connects to my car charging port. I would buy it again and I certainly recommend this charger.

Works well & easy to install- fast chargeI have had this charger for a little over 2 weeks and have used it several times. Since level 2 chargers can cost over $500 I was wondering why this was less than $200. My car can report its charge status to my phone, it can schedule when to charge and how many amps to use. I don't want yet another phone app. This unit charges at 40 amps, and this can be reduced if necessary with internal switches. And it has lights to indicate power, charging and finished.Some have mentioned that the unit is large and heavy. I don't care, it is mounted on the wall. The large top holds the cable without sharp bends. And the charge connector plugs into the body with a satisfying click. The cable is 25 feet long and is surprisingly flexible. All things considered, I am very satisfied and I am glad I didn't pay for features I don't want.

.Great looking and compact. For what this charger provides and performs, it seems it should be a lot more bulky - but it's not !The value for me kicks up for the compatibility and portability. This sure beats the 20th century five gallon gas can in the trunk sloshing around and emitting fumes.Another GREAT feature is the ability to plug into a 120Vac or 220Vac source. Charges quickly.Not as much thought planning an excursion based on where the charge stations are.Overall success !

I owned a Prius Prime for about 5 years and I had been using 2 different 16 amp Level 2 chargers on it. . One at my work and one at home. I also have a 5 year old 16 amp that I retired a few months ago. And I have the Toyota OEM 110V Level 1 that came with the car as well. I recently traded the Prius in for a 2024 RAV4 Prime XSE P/P which can use the much faster 32 amp charger. The Prius is limited to 16 amps. I got this Cobuy 40 amp Level 2 just over a week ago and I am truly impressed with it. The overall construction is top notch and it just feels quality as well as looking good. This charger is WAY better than any of the other 3 aftermarket Level 2 chargers I have used. It has a very easy to read, informative readout and it comes with all the necessary accessories including a very heavy duty carrying case, the cord hanger. the 110V converter cord, and the "holster" for holding it on the wall. It charges super fast which is nice. I can go from a flat battery to full in about 1-1/2 hours as opposed to 4-1/2 hours with the 16 amp. One of the things I like most about this is the J1772 plug. It is super well made and it slips in and out of the car socket like butter which is a nice change from the one I retired and one of my newer 16 amp chargers. My newest 16 amp takes 2 hands, and an incredible amount of pulling to pull it out and the retired one was not much better. The Toyota OEM slides in and out very easily like this one as it should be. It worries me a bit that I may break something when it's that hard to pull out the 16 amp, so this one is a relief to work with. The wiring on this one is very heavy because of the 40 amp rating and it is very good quality wire with a nice heavy jacket. Only time will tell about the long term life of this, but for now, I am absolutely happy with this unit and would highly recommend it to any one looking for a good Level 2, 40 amp charger.

So far, so good! I got this about a week ago and have been using it successfully every day. It seems to be well- built, is solid, and works great at 40amps. The plug, cables, and box do get slightly warm during charging but nothing concerning. The charging cable is super thick though, more so than my previous 32amp charger, which is a good thing, I suppose. No issues with it yet so, I’d recommend it! 👍🏻
