The latch is pretty much as advertised. The reason I withheld a star is because the lock hole diameter (which is an oval) does not allow a standard master lock, which I felt was a bit odd for the size of this latch. It was pretty easy to drill out a bit more room to enlarge the hold diameter (soft metal...), but it took off some of the black anodized surface (and may allow rusting). Also the screws that come with it are very small (short and thin) - would not take much to pry the latch off, which defeats the purpose of a secure latch. I substituted the screws for thicker and longer ones (but they were not black). The ones they sent barely filled the holes (very small). Anyway, still a very good value with a few easy mods you can make this a nice secure lock. And they sent TWO - I didn't realize that. I thought I was getting one for the price, very affordable.
