The Hillman Group 41332 Drive Wall DLS Anchor
From the Manufacturer
Primarily used in drywall, the hollow wall anchor is a medium duty fastener. Once the body of the anchor is installed, the screw can be removed and items can be changed without disrupting the anchor. The tip has a drive point to pierce drywall easily.

Picked up two of these at our local hardware store to hang a magnetic knife block. The first one did not tighten, the screw threading stripped, and eventually snapped during tightening. I snapped off the outer head and shoved the rest into the wall, somewhat salvaging the hole. I threw the second one in the garbage as there was no way i was putting another bad hole into the wall. Had to patch up the hole the first one caused.I went back to the hardware store and picked up 2 plastic, screw in, wall anchors that did what i needed without causing damage to my walls.

I was shocked at how frail these were. I bought a pack of these Hillman anchors at my local ACE hardware, and two our of three stripped out while tightening by hand. I've used anchors like these for decades. I've never experienced such cheap ones. Buyer beware!

I thought the buyers who wrote a poor review on these were not used to using wall anchors and tightened them too much. Boy was I wrong. Even gentle tightening snaps the expander section and the threads on the nailscrews themselves are not deep enough for a good hold. I would not buy again. At least half snapped on me and I am weak.

I never write reviews, but the lack of quality really bothered me. I bought some of these at a local hardware store. They are very weak, broke several while tightening them. I would recommend a different kind.

I bought these from my local hardware store to hang a small shelf on a hollow core door. It's a good thing they come in a 20 pack.I had 6 anchors fall apart before I got 2 set in the door. The anchors are pressed together from 3 parts. The plate that you see on the wall, the shaft that deforms, the threaded plate on the back. Most of the anchors separated at the front and just fell down into the door. One if them, the threaded part fell off the backside and I had to drill it out.
