Although I was never able to install this roller nut, I am able to speak on a few things of note:- Solid brass. the nut is in fact solid brass as it claims! It is dense and high quality exactly as you'd expect- Rollers are grooved with a specific depth for each string! That means it can only be installed one way!- Although there are multiple adjustable hex studs, there is nothing they mount to, I'm unsure what they are for other than minor height leveling.- A brass shim is included for some reason?- It was too narrow for my extremely narrow Carvin. You'll want to check the measurements carefully!I'm sure this is a tremendous upgrade for someone, but this is a very specific use case nut and won't work on most guitars!

I bought this to replace the execrable plastic nut that came with an otherwise quite nice Les Paul assembly kit I have been working on. I put the shim in and roughed in the height adjustment, which luckily only needed a minor tweak. Once I got the height where I wanted it, I attached the shim and the nut in place with a few dots of CA glue. I figure a roller nut could use some lubricant, so I put a miniscule amount of super lube on each roller. Strung everything up and it works just as advertised. Looks a little funny at first but you get used to it quickly. Attractive golden brass finish, and seems like a high quality piece. Easy to install as long as the old nut comes out without messing up the finish. Maybe take it to a guitar tech if you're not comfortable doing it yourself.
