Very happy with this set. Sometimes something so simple can save you so much time. If you were checking a damaged bolt or nut this wouldn't be good, I don't think any set would. Aluminum is not the strongest but its light weight makes up for it. I can throw it in my pocket and go bolt shopping. Color is awesome.

I have so many nuts and bolt parts drawers that I think I know what size is in there, but some have a mix between metric and SAE. Lately everything has to be metric. I've had the type of thread checker that are all connected together by a cable, but always found it a pain to sort thru them to find the right one. This at least is organized. When you first get it, they are nice and tight in the case, making it easy to just run the bolt across to find the correct ones. However, after you pull them out and put back in a few times they will spin on you in the case.I do have to agree with the other comment about them being so shallow on the larger bolts you really don't know for certain if you picked the correct one. Not enough thread run thru.

Comprehensive metric and SAE nut and bolt gauge. Already came in very handy as I was searching for the correct size ebike brake rotor screws. Sizes are clearly engraved and highlighted on the individual gauges, and ckearly printed on the foam case holder. There is also a printed card affixed to the inside of the case lid - great insurance as the foam printing begins to wear off.

This set is not the worst set I purchased on Amazon. The male and female threads on the larger sizes are cut very short of obviously reduce the manufacturers cost to make. There is hardly enough threads to verify the correct threads. Just feels cheap compared to another set that I purchased from Amazon for for the same price
