A quick easy measure for thread size is a great idea, that this tool just doesn't live up to. For starters, the slide is a round rivet with 360 rotation instead of the more useful oval-shaped slide shown in the listing photos. This makes it very hard to figure out where to read the size. After trying it on several nuts and bolts, I'm simply unable to get an accurate reading.This tool has one job and it just isn't working.

Works but if you don’t do it just right you will get a size off size. Great idea and could be improved so easily.

Precise is not the word to use. It does NOT match the photos, the screw/nut in the middle is a screw/nut that is too small and has no indicators to help you determine size. Even then, the sizes in no way match actual bolt sizes. Better off getting an adjustable wrench with size markings on it.

I have one of those board style size checkers and it works well, but it is really just made for use in your shop... too bulky to haul around.This little device is great... small and lightweight... easily fits in your pocket... and best of all it works. The accuracy is pretty good. It seems as though it will be very durable.

The thread checker isn't very precise. In fact, it's not very accurate at all, and I can usually do better just by eye. Maybe I'm using this wrong or something. There aren't any instructions included. Also, I was disappointed to see significant rust on both sides of the device, some of which is through the chrome.
