This hertz meter shows twice the actual frequency. I was using it on my generator. When testing on the plug with my multimeter I was reading 30hz the needle was on 60hz. I was sure about it before even testing because the needle was on 60hz when my rpm on the tractor were at barely 1000. Usually this generator gives 240v and 60hz when rpm are about 2200.Useless, however Amazon refunded me without asking a return. So 1 starfor the product but 5 stars for customer service
