Very strong and smooth material. We used this to wrap a new foam cushion on one of our antique sofas. We stitched it closed and installed in the cover. Sofa is like new again.

I’m thrilled with this Dacron! I don’t usually write reviews, but I see this is an often returned item, and I think I know what the problem is. The material is vacuum packed, and the instructions say to let it air out for 1-5 days. I had plenty of material to work with, so I figured I could mess around with it. I cut mine down to a little bigger than I needed. Other vendors suggested spraying it lightly with water, hand stretching gently and working out wrinkles. Then drying on very low heat. I did that and threw it in the dryer on air with a couple of dryer balls and a dry towel for about 15-20 minutes. I could not believe the difference! Take a look. I took a picture of the before and after side by side. Wow! And I get to work on my project today, not 5 days from now.

I recently reupholstered my dining room chairs, this batting was very easy to cut and apply to the seating. Also very easy to apply material on top of it. Very sturdy and comfortable once chairs were done. I think will hold up very well with different body weights.
