My husband restores vintage cars and trucks as a hobby and he thought this would be great based on the description and the amount of line to use on one of his old trucks, Not! The good, the material will last forever because it is extremely hard. The bad, my husband says it is not bendable as they described; this material is more for a machine shop that has equipment that can bend metal of this magnitude. He has bent brake lines many times before but says these lines are useless to him given the material is so solid he won’t take the chance of killing himself doing it. The lines may work for some but he says he won’t tackle it.

Durable brake line that's easy to work with...This brake line is easy to bend to form a replacement line. Yet, it's very durable to resist kinking or crushing..The only thing I run into is forgetting to added the fittings before flaring the ends... That's a ME issue though...This is a great brake line offering....

Some kind of exterior paint coating on ordinary steel alloy brake line tubing - RETURNEDI wish I could give less than a 1 Star Rating point because of the false advertising in the website description. An accurate product description is absolutely mandatory so that you know exactly what you are buying. This ordinary steel alloy brake line IS NOT “brazed” whatever that is supposed to mean. It IS NOT made of Copper as falsely described. It IS NO galvanized using a zinc metal coating. It does have a nice paint job covering the outside so it may be corrosion resistant ON THE OUTSIDE. It is made of ordinary mild steel alloy that is strongly attracted to a magnet. If this brake line had any Copper in the alloy then it would be very weakly magnetic. The real Copper Nickle metal alloy brake line is very weakly attracted to only a very strong magnet.This brake line is a bargain price for the length, but I was hoping that the “brazed” in the description was a poor incorrect translation of the brake line metal being made of a Copper Nickle alloy. Such a Copper alloy brake line is corrosion resistant on the outside AND on the inside because the whole tube is the same Copper Nickle alloy throughout as opposed to just a surface paint job. Real Copper Nickle brake line is superior for many reasons: it bends easily without kinking, it is easy to make a perfect inverted flare, and it is highly corrosion resistant on the outside and ON THE INSIDE. I returned this inferior type of brake line.

This is a nice solid built brake line. It bends easily with my tubing bender. The coating should extend the life of the line. The coating isn't super thick but is enough to protect from salt spray and moisture. If the coating gets nicked by a stone it will leave the steel exposed to corrosion. Overall a good replacement for my damaged lines and better than plain steel.
