I broke the cord on the snowblower right at the end of winter, and just got around to fixing it with this set today. Really impressed with what you get for the price! It claims 50' of cord, and based on what I just used, that's enough for about TEN repairs! I like that they included handles too, in case you break one. Not as common, but I have done it.I found the cord to be softer than what was in the snowblower, but it appears to be the same size. This cord also has the core and sheath, but I found it would fray much more easily, so melting the ends made it much easier to get it in the handle. You can see in the pictures the comparison to what broke.I cycled the handle several times, and there was no sign of fraying or anything, and it remained strong.I also think that the softer cord helps the knots hold better.Yes, I do recommend this Starter rope replacement kit. Great price and lots of extra to have around for next time I break one so I don't have to buy more!(I only review items that I really, ACTUALLY use. NEVER just opening the box and looking at it. Hope it's helpful!)

This is a great replacement pack to repair older tools, and the best part is that you get a ton to use on several. The rope is sturdy and very long. Even after replacing the frayed rope on a lawn mower, there's a lot left. They include three handles, and if you cut off and use the original handles, you could repair even more than 3 tools with this kit. The rope is good quality, a little bit on thicker side but still fit in the hole. As long as the rope isn't too thick for your tool, this will do a fine job at revamping any power tool.

This replacement rope kit has been a great solution for refreshing the pull rope on my Craftsman push mower.With plenty of cord included, it provides more than enough for multiple replacements down the line. The three replacement handles are a thoughtful addition, especially since my mower’s original handle was in rough shape. So far, the cord is holding up well, and having 50 feet on hand ensures I’ll be able to keep my mower’s rope in top condition for years to come.

This kit is a really nice group of options for fixing up combustion yard equipment. The cord has plenty of length to be used for three or more devices and is sturdy enough to last hundreds of pulls. The replacement handles are sturdy plastic and feel like they will wear well without becoming brittle. The included gloves are fine, and fit my hands well, but are not the reason to buy this kit. For the price, it's a good amount of gear.

I used this cord to repair the pull start cord on a weedeater and it worked great. I still have a LOT left over and I can think of many uses for this besides pull start cords. I am going to keep it back by my cattle shed as I am always looking for rope for various needs when I'm working or loading cattle.

Used this on a Weedeater Featherlight that uses a 4mm cord, and so far so good! The plastic handles that came in the box were a bit large for the Featherlight, but I used the original and it worked flawlessly. There's no visible wear or breakage after starting the machine a few times with this cord, and the cord feels sturdy. We'll see how it fares in the long run, but I'm happy with it for now! I also appreciate the gloves that come with this kit!

Good kit to have around the workshop for emergencies. I like the gloves and the grippy texture on the fingers and palms. The pull rope is a good quality. The handles are okay, but not super quality. But should work.This kit is reasonably priced.Pick this up today. Don't wait for your pull rope to break, it's too late then.

While this rope was slightly thicker than the OEM pull cord, it seems to have worked well. Replaced the pull cord on my Try Bilt TB110 with this, and seven turns and a slightly larger bored hole inside the mechanism, my mower feels good as new. It seems the housing was able to accommodate the thicker cord, which is lucky, honestly. But the mower starts right up and works fine after this quick install. The cord ends are easy to melt for installation and final tie-offs. Would recommend as an alternative to OEM, despite its thickness.
