Three things about these kayak holders:1) The bolt that is used to connect the top and bottom parts of the bracket sticks out. So, it will scratch your kayak. I will not use this for my nice carbon fiber kayak, but I don’t mind it for my plastic ones. I will solve for this by adding a bolt cover next time I go to the hardware store2) The curve on the hook end should have a larger radius so the kayak can sit at a slight angle. These are so tight that I can only turn my kayaks a bit and I have several size and shape kayaks. That means each kayak is basically sitting on its edge and that limited how many brackets I could use on a wall. I have quite a few guest kayaks so a slight angle would have allowed me to squeeze one more in up high.3) The outermost holes on the plate are too wide to catch a stud. They give you anchors for those, but they could easily modify the design so they would catch the stud. I almost drilled holes to do that, I was going to do one high left close to the bar and the other low right also close to the bar on both top and bottom parts of the bracket. Instead I set it up so one side on the plate and the middle holes on the bar hit the stud and only used an anchor for one hole in the plate. Look at the pictures and that will make more sense.

These are great. A good price. But do not use their screws. The heads snap right off. Leaving the screw in the wall. Cheap screws for a great product.

Bought these to hang my kayak in my shed. They worked perfectly. I also used one for a multi position ladder and it worked excellent for that as well. Very pleased with this product.

They seem perfectly fine but the screws broke and my kayaks fell.
