Initially I was about to leave a bad review, only to realize I made a huge error in my own circuit. These work just fine :)The header terminals match up to the midi pins on the board, which saves a lot of confusion.... unless you screw something up like I did. I will purchase again!

I was not expecting to have to assemble and solder these myself. Lesson learned. Look at all pictures before buying each connector is a 4 piece assembly. Cost should have been half due to required assembly.

Unlike what one person did NOT like (they came in KIT form), I DID, because you can make your "project" work anyway you want it to, and not have to dissamble (& damage ) the parts ! My problem was that my power recliner became intermittent going up & down. When I took it apart to troubleshoot, I found that some of the connectors are 5 pin DIN(S), so, try and take voltage readings on those!! Well, these worked out perfectly to "tap" the connections, w.o. cutting up the cables. Found an intermittent motor wire, inside the motor power cable. Anyway, really like these things!! Quite versatile, you can solder them anyway you want, solder your wires, or use screw terminals, use the p.c. mounting board, or not. I like them!!!

Unless I'm looking at this wrong, the PCBs appear to be printed upside down. Soldering the MIDI jack to the top of the board, the side that says "TOP" and has the outline of the jack, will reverse the pins. 1 becomes 3 and 4 becomes 5. If you buy these, make sure you look at the traces before soldering.

They’re exactly what I expected? How does somebody even review something like this? I soldered them to a pcb and plugged in a midi cable and now I have music so I can’t complain
