I like these over the pins for sure, but it’s a struggle to do with the shirt/shorts on. Definitely recommend attaching the bib ahead of time. Otherwise, strong magnetic hold.

My wife and I ran a 5K this past weekend and got these to attach our bibs and avoid those safety pins damaging our shirts. They stuck well but were a pain to get positioned correctly. They did stay on the whole race, the bib didn't go anywhere, and there was no damage to the shirt.
