Nice design. Layers are numbered so there is no guesswork stacking them. Good drainage system. The plastic seems sturdy enough to provide many sprouting sessions. My only quibble is the largest #6 layer is not quite large enough to snap onto the top of #5 layer to create a closed, self-contained pack when stored away (see picture). The product description does NOT claim I should be able to do this, but it seems to be a practical feature easily added.

First time growing anything like this. So it is being tested from a beginner's point of view.I love sprouts but they get expensive and go bad before I can finish. This kit let me grow them easily and to try other types of sprouts I cannot find in my grocery store. The picture just has a few growing because I wanted to test it first before using all of the seeds in one go. But this also shows that you can grow a little at a time if you need to. The roots look fuzzy and it is easy to think that they are growing bad things but its just the roots. So fresh! There is often a hint of bacteria flavor by the time I buy them from the grocery store. I am going to try to do this more often. The downside is that it takes so many seeds. I will buy bulk rather than the packets. When I added water, the seeds did not stay evenly spread. They washed mostly to one side. But it seemed to not matter.Pros:The trays can fit into each other for storage. Takes up less space.Easy to clean and assemble.Easy to add seeds and water.Low maintenance. I only did the watering once and forgot it for a few days.Fresh sprouts! You can grow small amounts if you want.Multiple trays allow for a variety to be grown if you want.Cons:Placing it into the bag after watering is tricky. I will either just flip the bag upside down over it next time or assemble and water it in the bag. Not a big deal. When you want to store it in the fridge, it does take up some space. If you are ready to store it in the fridge, but have a variety growing, some sprouts are ready before the others and cannot all be put in the fridge at the same time. I had to get creative with putting just a few trays in the fridge. It would be good if there was an extra pan to place these on because it leaked. So overall, this is a neat way to grow sprouts. Refrigeration was the most troublesome for me. I think it is worth trying. As I learn more about this, I am sure I can just put them in another container in the fridge and not have those issues.Research mode-activated!

Hmm... worked very well the first use, although the seeds seemed to take a long time to sprout. I've tried it two more times and the seeds barely sprouted and before they were ready to harvest, turned moldy. And yes, I read and followed the instructions included with the trays. I'm going to try one more time.

I’ve grown so many sprouts in it at this point! The only thing is it does let some of the smaller seeds go through the tiny holes but it’s very minimal. I haven’t had any real issues with it and have sprouted alfalfa, sunflowers, mung beans, rainbow mix and broccoli and all have worked fine in it.Super simple to assemble it’s just trays that get slightly larger and then you stack them in reverse order if you wanted to store the trays.
