I'm not a guitarist - just like to tinker, etc. My Thrift-shop Ibanez Acoustic's Fishman SST original EQ/Tuner was dead. When powered on, it would light up but no sound through the bridge-mounted pickup. Plastic faceplate was gooey (typical). I carefully removed the old pickup under bridge, unscrewed all the old Fishman SST Pre-amp parts (Equalizer, Cable + wired pickup, 2 AA battery pack). Initially I went to a small Music Store in my area and purchased an OEM $10. AA batt power box. That wasn't the problem though. I ordered this product, I have only bench-tested it (connected all components + plugged into an amp) tapped on the pickup. Beautiful. The fitment - bottom power pack (9v) single battery tray assembly / connectors for cord overall all "box" slightly curved and a small gap when in place. You should add a trim piece maybe? Note: This is not Luthier repair - just tinkering. The main EQ part needs existing holes in Ibanez acoustic trimmed slightly into a perfect square - albeit slightly. Its not too curved - either! See my photo. Both parts screws fit on top, etc., but needed new holes for bottom screws. The price for this is good - arrived very fast. Good to learn guitar tinkering on. The EQ faceplate when activated is quite bright (almost like LED quality.) That's all for now. Other replacements (like Belcat?) seem more drop-in but are $$ - if I was a "player" I'd probably go for that type. There is a YOUTUBE video on that one. Enjoy!
